Getting Here
Directions in Tamarindo

CR Surf Institute is located in Tamarindo 200m south and 50m east of Supermercado (thats 2 blocks south, towards Langosta, and half a block east up the hill) next to "the Breeze", opposite "Wayra" and on the way to "Luna Llena".

Airports

There are two international airports in Costa Rica; Oduber Intenational Airport, in Liberia (Guanacaste) is just 62 km away from Tamarindo and Juan Santamaria International Airport, in Alajuaela, close to San José, is approximately 300 km to Tamarindo.

Getting to CRSI from Liberia

There are three options to get to Tamarindo. First, you can take a taxi, which costs approximately US $60, and travel time is one hour. Second, you could take the public bus for approximately US $2. The bus ride lasts about 2 hours. Finally, students can book a shuttle for around $60 US at Interbus

Getting to CRSI from San Jose

Students can take either a bus, or an Interbus shuttle. The ALFARO bus company offers daily service from San José to Playa Tamarindo at 3:30 p.m. for about $6 US The ALFARO bus station is at Barrio Coca Cola, on calle 14, between avenida 3 - 5. The bus ride to Tamarindo takes about six hours. CRSI students need to get off at the last bus stop, in the heart of Tamarindo.

Students can also book a shuttle for around $60 US at Interbus.
