Surf Trips

Playa Avellanas

Students can take a weekend surf trip to Avellanas. We will 4X4 to the beach, stay overnight in a surf hostel and enjoy gourmet cooking from chef Miguel. Avellanas is a fast beach break that offers both fun rights and long lefts.

Playa Grande

The next beach north of Tamarindo, Playa Grande is a beach break that offers more challenging waves for students to test out their skills. Playa Grande is a day trip for CRSI students, usually Friday or Saturday.

Witches Rock and Ollies Point

Our more advanced students will have the opportunity to head out in search of barrels at these world famous breaks. Ollies Point is a long, fast point break while Witches Rock is a consistent, fast, hollow beach break. Students and instructors will take a boat taxi to get to the waves on this weekend trip.
